I'm back! If any of you feared that I might have skipped OS/2, be assured that I would do no such thing; I've just been busy at work and have also moved to a new, and larger, apartment. And now, the larch, sorry, the Denmark Report.

Team OS/2 in Aarhus has established an OS/2 user club. The user club will arrange visits to businesses, hold talks on interesting subjects and share experiences with other OS/2 users. The target group is anyone using OS/2, either at home or at work.

On Tuesday June 24th there will be a talk on "OS/2 in industrial control" (e.g. beer brewing :-) ) followed by "Everybody can program in REXX." Both talks are in Danish and will take place at 7 PM in IBM's office in Aarhus. The REXX talk will later be followed up by a REXX programming course.

To pre-register (required) use this email address: teamos2@teamos2.dk

The OS/2 user club has a mailing list that you can start a subscription to at Team OS/2 Denmark's web site (http://www.teamos2.dk).

Sounds very interesting, don't you think? A shame that I live too far away from Aarhus to join the user club.

PC World Danmark #8/97 (dated May 9th 1997) published an article on OS/2 with the title "OS/2: Ten Years' Failure." I haven't read the article myself, but people report that it contains both valid and invalid facts. People have been considering contacting the magazine to clarify some misunderstandings, but I don't know whether anyone actually did contact PC World Danmark in this regard.

Please do not hesitate to send me any Danish specific news and information you would like mentioned in this column.
