DESCRIPTION-
Enable streaming video using the BAMBA technology and define a
standard for video-conferencing so that any OS/2 user can video
conference with any other OS/2 user via the WWW who has the
minimum hardware configuration. The minimum hardware should be
a 33K modem, a Pentium 133 MHz computer, and a real-time video
camera. The standards and interface should be enabled such
that pointing and clicking to a desktop object should initiate
the connection and notify the user on the other end of an
incoming video call. The system should use available bandwidth
to determine:
ATTRIBUTES:
HIGH Value
Desired NEXT full release
1. Color enable (yes or no)
2. Picture size
3. Picture frame refresh rate.
OS/2 is the ideal platform to initiate this with and most of
the hardware and software is already developed. It just needs
integration, standards, and propagation.
