 DESCRIPTION-

        I use Warp 3 with FixPack 26. I installed some shareware
        fonts from the Hobbes CD-ROM, and experienced crashes and
        WorkPlace Shell corruption due to errors in PMATM.DLL when
        using seemingly random fonts. While I am aware that shareware
        fonts come with no warranty, OS/2 is supposed to be STABLE and
        CRASH-PROTECTED. It should perform better if it encounters
        errors in a font file. The idea is NO CRASH, NO CORRUPTION.
        Possible solutions: use one of OS/2's standard fonts
        automatically when error occurs. Warn the user. Check the
        validity of font files before loading them, etc.

        ATTRIBUTES:

        MEDIUM Value
        Desired next FIXPACK

        BENEFIT$

        *  Improved OS/2's stability.
        * Encourage Desktop Publishing professionals to use OS/2
           (they already use Adobe Type 1 fonts heavil!y, or so I hear)
