DESCRIPTION-
I started using OS/2 with Warp 3 and now use v4.0. There are
nagging bugs that are present in the WPS that have been around
for some time (I've heard they were even present in v2.0!) that
should be fixed. These are the bugs/problems that I can think
of right off the bat. Sometimes, when multple folders,
programs, and/or windows are open, the system all of a sudden
doesn't let you close any of them. The best you can do is
minimize them. If you open another folder, program, and/or
window after this starts, then you will not be able to close
them as well. Sometimes, the problem just seems to go away and
you are able to close everything. Sometimes though, a reboot
is required. Sometimes when I wish delete files, if I have a
lot of files in a directory/folder, I will right click and
select the select all option to hightlight all the files.
Then I will drag all the files to the shredder to delete them.
Most of the files will get deleted. However, sometimes some
files will stay. If I select these files again and try to
delete them, the shredder will not delete them. What is
actually happening is the file(s) got deleted however the icon
for the file is still present! If I refresh the view in the
folder then the icon disappears! It takes entirely too long
to delete files from the WPS if a lot of files are present.
It's faster to go to an OS/2 prompt and type del *.* to erase
them! Fix this. Sometimes, icons just disappear. No idea
why. FIX THE SIQ!! To all the above, I can't think of any
pattern that could be useful to repeating these. Hope this
helps! C-ya
