WHAT IS ZIFFNET'S TEXT VIEWER UTILITY? 
 
ZiffNet's Text Viewer is a simple browsing utility designed with a
special file listing front end.  It is designed to handle large text
files easily by establishing indexes into the text file.


HISTORY

Version 1.0 - Released 01/04/94

This the initial release of the utility.
 

HOW DO I USE THE ZIFFNET TEXT VIEWER UTILITY?

1. Create a directory called ZIFFNET and copy the following files
ZIFVIEW.EXE AND ZIFVIEW.TXT (this file) into it.

2. At the DOS prompt (example: C:\ZIFFNET >) type Zifview and press
the ENTER key.

3. At the path prompt: Enter a new path or Enter for the default
path (Enter Q or q to quit).

4. At the filename extension prompt: Enter a new filename extension or
Press Enter for the default extension (.TXT) or Enter Q or q to quit.

5. At the filename prompt: Enter the filename(without extension) from 
the list that you wish to view or Press Enter with no filename to
exit.

6. Viewing the File:
        A.  You can use the PageUp, PageDown, UpArrow, DownArrow,
        LeftArrow, RightArrow, End, Home or J(Jump) button to browse
        the file.
        B.  Press ESC Key to exit back to the beginning prompt.
