      Title: Finger Paint

      Yield: 3 cups

      1    Envelope unflavored gelatin
      1 c  Cold water
    3/4 c  Cornstarch
      2 c  Hot water
    1/2 c  Mild laundry soap flakes
           -such as Ivory Snow
           Liquid tempura paints in
           -assorted colors

  :       To make a clear base for paint, stir gelatin into 1/4 cup cold
  water in a bowl.  Set aside.  in the saucepan, stir cornstarch into
  remaining cold water until mixtur is smooth.  Add hot water.  Cook
  over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil
  and is smooth and clear.  Remove from het.  Add gelatin mixture and
  stir well. Add soap flakes and stir until dissolved.
  :       Separate mixture into containers.  For each color desired,
  add 1/2 tb tempurea paint to 1/2 cup finger paint.  Use immediately,
  or store tightly sealed in a cool dark place.
