FASTWIN V2.0 SE (4) (FWIN.EXE)


Thanks for downloading the new updated FASTWIN for Windows.

I've enclosed everything you need to try out this new version of
Fastwin. Do remember this is not free, a small registration fee of
$7.75 which includes more than what you'll see in this package on 
a 3.5 disk only with S/H included.

Try a this new program, and if you find it great, or you find yourself
moving quicker into Windows from Dos, then do mail in your registration
fee for $7.75.

I have also added online-help both for running the program in Dos using
FSET.EXE w/ FSETHELP.EXE and for Windows using FW2.EXE w/ FW2.HLP.
This will makes things alittle clearer and easy to understand and setup.

There is also AUTHOR.WRI file shareware manual, containing alot of info,
about these programs except ( FW2.EXE & FW2.HLP) these two where just added
onto this package. 

If you don't have Windows Write.exe on your HD, then use FW2.EXE which is
just like AUTHOR.WRI, but you can always access this program for info and
plenty of help.

Double Click on FW2.EXE from within your FILE MANAGER and when the program
Window pops up you'll see:  Fastips    Exit                  About   Help

This is your menu items, Fastips will give you a fast run down on the other
tools enclosed. Exit is a quick way to quit the program, and the Help brings
up FW2.HLP which contains pages of info for you.

Make sure you copy all of the following to your C:\WINDOWS, C:\WIN31, C:\W31
or whatever you call your Windows directory:

FSET.EXE
FSETHELP.EXE
FWINBIN2.EXE
FBOOT.EXE
FCFG.EXE
FW2.EXE
FW2.HLP

As you can see there is now Fastwin! (FWIN.EXE) this is what is now called!
You'll use FSET which will do all the work for you in setting up, remove
etc. To bring up the online help for FSET type FSET ? you can use this in
dos or from the run command line in FILE MANAGER.

FSET can only access, setup, remove 4 different (FWIN.EXE) Each one is a
different FWIN.EXE that will give you a different speed access. Also just
incase you can't access FWIN.EXE mode [1] which is the best one, you'll have
3 more modes to choice from. You should be able to run the mode [1] without
any problems on most of the IBM clones on the market and that error 
statement DISPLAY DRIVER ERROR has been corrected with mode [1]. But if for
some strange reason you should recieved this error use mode [2] which is
a seconds or two slower than mode [1].

Note: Each FWIN.EXE new logo will display a big number telling which one
your using. This will not be in your registered version, only in this
shareware version.

When running FSET pay attention to the onscreen display you should find it
very interesting!

If you don't like my new logo, you can order a custom set of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
and 9 different logos at a extra fee.

This will give you upto 36 different FWIN.EXE! FASTWIN V2.0 SE (9)
Take alook at your ORDRFRM.WRI or use ORDRFRM.TXT.

Note: When you use any of these forms or print this out Windows NOTEPAD or
WRITE doesn't quite print propery. So here is what you should do:

To print this txt or any other text files using NOTEPAD:

1. Click on FILE on the main menu above
2. Click on Page Setup
3. Change the margin settings from .75 LEFT & RIGHT to 0000 LEFT & RIGHT
4. You can also remove the header and footer from the page.

To use WRITE:

1. Click on Document
2. Click on Page Layout
3. Change the margin settings from 1.25 LEFT & RIGHT to 0.25 LEFT & RIGHT

Make sure you read everything before you use FSET and install FWIN.EXE.

P.S. I've also enclosing my latest copy of my WINDOWS ARCADE SERIES 3 E
     GAMECAT.TXT. This contains all my 16 volumes of fun full wave sound
     effects games. Some use Real sound effects!  If you a member of AOL
     American Online you can goto into the Windows Games Forum Area or do
     a file search using my screen name TipStir to bring up all the games.
     These are all shareware version on AOL, and the register fee is only
     $5.77 which includes S/H 3.5 disk and the manual, GameMaster News
     Letter.
