This file is a replacement to the Sermous.sys file for Intel x86 Microsoft Windows NT 3.1 installations, 
Build 511 or 528 (Windows NT CSD Version 001 or 002).

To apply this fix, perform the following steps:

1.  Rename \WinNt\System32\Drivers\SerMouse.sys  *.old
2.  Copy a:Sermouse.sys \WinNt\System32\Drivers
3.  Perform a system shutdown and restart the computer.

This new version of SerMouse.sys fixes a problem involving the failure of Windows NT to correctly detect 
the CombiMouse.   Serial numbers 3xxxxx and lower exhibit the failures when attached to IO boards 
using the Winbond chip and installed in IBM PS/2 computers.

This fix is provided as is, and is not supported by Microsoft Product Support Services.  Although this file 
was not made available in the recently released Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack, a tested and 
supported copy of this file will be included in the next, upcoming Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack 
(Service Packs are provided on a quarterly basis).
