Wicker Baskets Dyed to Match Decor


Reed basket of your choice.
Fabric Dye (preferably premixed liquid)
Platic or Styrofoam Plate
Sponge pieces

If using powder dye, mix per instructions except lessen water by 1/3.

Put dye on plate. Pick up color with sponge.
Note: Sponge peices can be cut to pattern shapes if desired.

If using several colors, sponge lightest color first.

Working one side at a time per color around basket, sponge dye onto
basket. Cover completely or allow some natural reeds to show through.

Let Dry.

If desired spray with a poylurethane sealer, gloss level of your choice.
