Monterey Mills has been manufactyureing deep-pile fabrics
for a quarter of a century, and sells its deep-pile fabircs,
popularly known as "fun fur", at prices up to 50% below the ususal
retail.  The brochure describes the fiber content of the different
furs and lists the available colors, pile height, and ounces per
yard.  In addition to basic plush and shag, you'll find pattens
and colors simulating the pelts of bear, fox, seal , calf,
jaguar, and Dalmation.  Prices are given per cut yard, per
yard on the roll (there are 12 to 15 yards per roll0 and for
quantity orders.  Cut yards run from 6.95 to 12.50 per yard, and
prices drop from there (the Mill will choose the fur type) for
$3.25 a poind, or $3 per poind by the carton (35-40 lbs).  Stuffing
for craft projects is available as well at 59 cents a pound and
up.  A set of samples is offered for $4, a worthwhile
investment unless you're only buying remnants.  Minimum yardage
order is 1 yard; minimum order is $25, $100 on ordersed shipped C.O.D.
