Bead Thread (#895): 20" and 55" (necklace),  12" and 28" (bracelet)

INSTRUCTIONS: NECKLACE
1. Cut the strings of bead strands to
   separate beads.

2. Using 20" piece of bead thread,
   thread needle and knot end. Repeat
   krrot 5 or 6 times on top of original
   knot and set with glue.

3. Run needle through hole in bead tip
   (ill. 1). Do not close bead tip.

4. String red and gold plated beads
   onto bead thread as follows: 1 gold,
   15 red. 1 gold. 5 red. 1 gold. 5 red.

5. String a pattern of 1 gold and 2 red
   gold bead for center point.

6. Reverse bead pattern to complete
   bead strand. String bead tip. knot and
   glue as before.

7. Using the 55" long thread. repeat step
   #2 and #3. Then run thread through
   bead strand up to the third gold bead.
   To make first drop, string 1 6mm
   spring bead cap. 1 gold. 3 red and
   1 gold bead onto thread. Run thread
   around outside of last gold bead and
   back throuah beads. bead cap and
   next 2 red beads along strand.

8. Repeat step #7 using bead drop pat-
   terns shown along length af necklace.

9. Run thread back through remaining
   beads and final bead cap. Knot ends.
   set with glue and tightly close bead
   tips. Cut away excess string.

10. Use jewelry pliers to attach jump ring
    and loop of lobster claw clasp onto
    each bead tip loop and close securely.

INSTRUCTIONS : EARRINGS
1. To make the earring drops, string
   beads onto the head pins as shown
   (see photo). Use pliers to bend end
   of pin to form a loop (ill. 2).

2. Slide headpin loops onto loop of
   eyepin. Use pliers to close securely.

3. String 8mm spring bead cap and a
   fluted gold bead onto pin. Use pliers
   to finish end into a loop (ill. 2).

4. Attach loop to loop of earwire and
   close with pliers.

INSTRUCTIONS : BRACELET
    Use Bead Design Board to prepare
    bead pattern as shown in photo.
    Follow necklace instructions for
    threading and stringing beads
    and drops.
