NetWare HostPrint 1.1

ABSTRACT:

The PTF 445 series consists of four PTF files for NetWare HostPrint 1.1.  The
series is recommended for all NetWare HostPrint 1.1 sites.  No one should
download ONLY PTF445.EXE.  If HostPrint is installed on a NetWare 4.0x server,
download PTF445.EXE, PTF447.EXE, and PTF448.EXE.  If HostPrint is installed on
a NetWare 3.1x server, download PTF445.EXE, PTF446.EXE, and PTF448.EXE.

SYMPTOM

     When HostPrint is running on NetWare 4.0x, CSCON is unable to support a
     selection list of more than 50 print jobs.

SYMPTOM

     When more than 20 print jobs are defined, HPCONSOL crashes.

SYMPTOM

     When a NetWare server has the Accounting option installed and the Account
     Balance activated, HPOBJECT fails.

SYMPTOM

     An extra Form Feed and a PostScript error is issued at the end of a
     HostPrint print job.

SYMPTOM

     PRINTCON is limited to 37 print job definitions.

SOLUTION

     Apply the PTF 445 series.

     Installation Instructions:

     If HostPrint 1.1 is on a NetWare 4.x server, please read the instructions
     in PTF447.TXT.

     If HostPrint 1.1 is on a NetWare 3.1x server, please read the
     instructions in PTF446.TXT.

     Patch History:

     The PTF 445 series is the first HostPrint 1.1 patch.

     Solution Specifics:

     After PTF 445 is applied, the following will occur:

     1.   CSCON will support a selection list of more than 50 print jobs.

     2.   HPCONSOL will supports more than 20 defined print jobs.

     3.   HPOBJECT will support NetWare servers with Accounting installed and
          the Account Balance assigned.

     4.   PRINTCON will support more than 37 print jobs.

     5.   PostScript HostPrint jobs will print without an extra form feed at
          the end of the print job and without a PostScript error report to
          the printer.
