THE 2.0 VERSION OF 2M ADDS TO 1.3 VERSION: ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ + 2M diskettes can be used in computers without 2M.COM or 2M.SYS installed on hard disk: simply, reboot the system with 2M high density diskette in drive A: (system will boot from hard disk but loading first 2M support). + DOS standard SYS command is now able to make full bootable 2M diskettes, in the new 2M SuperBOOT mode (automatic). + New 2.88M diskettes support added (still not tested!). + SecureDrive 1.3d program from (between others) Edgar Swank (USA) works now correctly with 2M diskettes. New 2M correct some bugs that lets next version of SecureDrive to improve better performance when verify is turn enabled in a 2M diskette (read SecureDrive DOC to optimize actual 1.3d version). I want to thank Edgar Swank its corrections on 2M, and his contribution to improve 2M function: now 2M really verifies with COPY/V or with VERIFY ON enabled. + 2M-ABIOS and 2M-XBIOS can resolve many compatibility problems in your native BIOS, upgrading diskette support to AMI 1993 technology. Now, old PC/XT systems will support high density drives with no limitations. + 2M.SYS may be used instead 2M.COM if you desire to load 2M before any other driver in CONFIG.SYS; although now this is less necessary for some technical reasons. + Old 2M diskettes can be upgraded to SuperBOOT option using DISKCOPY into a new 2MF 2.0 diskette.
