V0.510-16 Flash ROM code for the SupraFAXModem 288 and 288i -- 5/18/94. Improvements: The ATI10 command is enhanced to include the product name and an English description of all the included optional features. The flow control thresholds used in the data buffer were adjusted to improve the throughput of the modem during file transfers. Ringback can be enabled when bit 7 of S95 is set (S95=128). The result code 200 or "RINGING" will be reported when an out-going call is placed. This is useful for front-end software such as Binkley. Silent Answer is redesigned to increase the reliability of fax CNG tone detection. This greatly reduces the chance of voices or other sounds triggering the fax software. The registers S190 and S191 have been added. The S190 register controls how quickly the modem will upshift to a faster speed when line conditions are good. The default is sixty (60) seconds. The S191 allows you to adjust how aggressive the modem will be in selecting a V.FC carrier rate during the initial train and retrain intervals. The default is 130. Documentation: An up-to-date AT command list is available on the Supra BBS (503/967-2444). The file is called 288_LIST.TXT and is available in the ONLINE MANUALS area.
