Well, here is the 08/94 Version of the Genesis Hints, Tips, and Tricks list!
This months release features a lot of new Hints, Tips, and Tricks for games
that have already made an appearance in one of the last few releases of the
list. Several of them in fact are quite good! Make sure you check them out!
I now have a revised Backward Tracks code for Virtua Racing that I have tested
and I have been able to get to work. The other version of the code appears to
only work on the Import/Mega Drive version of the cartridge.

I just got a new mailing from Electronic Arts Direct. In this mailing
they have announced a total of nine new games for the Sega Genesis from
now till the end of the year. No new games for the Sega CD were
announced at this time. They will start taking pre-orders for all of the
games below starting 8/1/94.

As with all Electronic Arts release dates, they are subject to change
without notice and from personal experience they will be moved back as
much as a week or two. Games above marked with a  *  most likely are
compatible with the EA 4-Way-Play adaptor. They are offering No Charge
UPS Blue (2-Day) shipping on any games ordered before 9/30/94. You do
have to ask for it. If you like having the games a day or two before
they start to hit the stores in your area and don't mind paying a little
extra this is a great idea. Where else can you play a game for 14 days
and return it, no questions asked if you don't like it. They will not
cash your check or charge your credit card till the game ships. You can
call Electronic Arts to order anytime at 1-800-245-4525. (Two words of
warning they do charge you tax if you live in one 10 states they collect
tax in and expect that the games you order will not ship on the release
date above, they will change the release date without telling you. You
can call them to check the release date for your order toll free, so it
is not that much of a hassle.)

Mail has been pouring in asking if I have ANY password that will let you
fight the dragon in Gauntlet IV. The answer is NO! I have no such
password and as a matter of fact, I have no passwords for any of the
towers. If someone happens to have some they can share with us, I would
really like it.

Also, many of you worte to tell me that Passwords were missing from The
Lost Vikings entry. I was faced with a situation that I normally don't
have. We worked on Lost Vikings for a long time before I even released
those passwords. We had the cartride for almost 90 days and in that time
we made it only that far. Several had asked me to give them some
passwords so the choice was made to release what we had in hopes that
someone else would offer the remaining passwords. At this time no one
has chosen to do so. My only guess is that everyone is stuck at that
level.

I have included some Sega Developer / Programming Information that I came
across. It will be included in this ZIP package for a limited time. It does
answer some of the questions people have about developing games for the Sega
Genesis System.

Please make sure that from now on the version of the GENXXYY.ZIP file you
are getting has an AV on it. People are stripping off my name and placing
other names on this list and claiming it. Please continue to look for this
list on PC-Ohio, it is where I upload it first.

Check the WHATSNEW.TXT file for information on the newest games added to
the list. (Remember, if it is in the WHATSNEW.TXT file it could be either
a REVISION or A NEW LISTING.)
