Packing List ------- ---- EXPORTER.EXE| EXPORTER program IMPORTER.EXE| IMPORTER program README .TXT| THIS FILE REGISTER.TXT| Form to register EXPORTER/IMPORTER (Please register!) FILE_ID .DIZ| Description file for BBS's (if you want to up-load...) About EXPORTER ----- -------- EXPORTER is a program designed to reformat the text of notes exported from Prodigy. To use EXPORTER, export the notes like normal, but use EXPORTER to read the file instead of a .TXT editor. EXPORTER reformats the text from to 60 letter per line format that the file comes in to and outputs a perfectly word wrapped 80 letters per line to your screen, your printer, or a file while the file remains untouched. Using EXPORTER ----- -------- Most of EXPORTER is self-explanatory, but here are a few tips: To exit at any time press the break key or CTRL-C. It is a good idea to keep the exported notes in the same directory as the EXPORTER file so you won't have to type the full path name. All "saved" output files will be saved in the directory that you ran EXPORTER from, unless you use a full path name. Limits ------ EXPORTER can only handle 2,500 lines of text in one file BEFORE it is edited. If a file is bigger, the extra lines will be ignored. EXPORTER can only use a printer on LPT1. If your printer is not on LPT1, the print option will be ignored. ABOUT IMPORTER ----- -------- IMPORTER converts .TXT files from the way you type to the format required by Prodigy for imported notes. It will make a new file with a perfectly word-wrapped 60 letters per line. Using IMPORTER ----- -------- Most of IMPORTER is self-explanatory, but here are a few tips: To exit at any time press the break key or CTRL-C. All input files must be in the directory that you ran IMPORTER from, unless you use a full path name. All output files will be saved in the directory that you ran IMPORTER from, unless you use a full path name. If you want to start a new paragraph you must leave a blank line between the two paragraphs. This is so IMPORTER will know that you wanted a new line, not that you just reached the end of a line.
