PentFlaw v1.1 ------------- PentFlaw is a comprehensive SLIQ script that tests your Intel Pentium chip for THE FLAW, which has been all over the news these days. It runs a com- plex operation perscribed by Intel as a way to test your chip for THE FLAW. Just run the script PENTFLAW.SCC, and the dialog boxes will provide useful information in diagnosing the problem. NOTE: PentFlaw, if run on a 486, will turn up a false positive. This is be- cause the 486 chip is not as precise as a non-flawed Pentium chip. The 486 chip is only 0.16 off in its calculation, whereas the Pentium is more than 6.8 off. PentFlaw is based on figures from Intel Corporation. It was written solely by Chris Roddy. He does not have a copyright or anything on it but if you skim this fast enough it may cause you to think that it is Copyright (C) Chris Roddy, 12-21-94, all rights reserved. Merry Christmas! CR
