pE - The "perfect" Editor(tm)

        These notes are addendum to the printed pE manual.

        pE is now a 'dual mode' executable.  It senses whether or not
        there is sufficient resource and switches to 'protected mode'
        if possible.  In Real Mode (normal DOS environment), it runs
        as an overlayed program; while in protected mode, the entire
        program loads into extended memory, leaving most of the lower
        640 available for whatever.  In protected mode all memory is
        available to edit files along with up to 64 MB of hard disk,
        which is used additionally as 'Virtual' memory.

        Please set the environment variable PERUN as follows in your
        Autoexec.Bat file:

            SET PERUN=/EK-

        This will enable a very smooth cursor action.   It will NOT
        affect any other program.

        Many small changes have been added to pE since Version 4.03.

        The color dialog was extended to use all 16 colors for
        background and foreground.  Status line, Windows, Menus,
        Borders and Hot Keys can all be colored diferently.

        The number of windows open has been extended to 64.

        The print dialog was entirely re-written, with the ability to
        direct output to a window, in addition to files and LPT1: & 2.
