Next version: you've asked for it and it is coming- a vehicle, aerospace, and installation editor! Version 3.0c: Hopefully, hopefully for the very last time this will work. I've provided 12 different window sizes for the edit window and the equipment window which the user can choose the one that best fits his screen. Bugs, bugs, bugs! Found a problem with deleting equipment and fixed it. Lots of problems creep in with large memory model as opposed to small. Version 3.0b: Hopefully, for the last time, I've tried to fix the mech edit window. There are now 3 sizes corresponding to the 3 most widely used resolutions. Please let me know if you have a problem with window size and let me know how big your screen is and what resolution you use. Added a sorting option for the mech open and delete windows that allows you to sort the list based upon any of the 3 key fields in ascending or descending order and allows your choose to be saved for use in the future. Make the list boxes for open and delete a mech multiple selection. Use the shift key and select all the mechs you want to open or delete and click ok and all those mechs will be opened or deleted. Fixed a bug that when cancel was chosen from the Equipment box, the mech edit screens values weren't updated with the original equipment list. Corrected various weapons classification problems. Re-compiled the whole system under large memory model. This allows more than the previous limit of 7 mechs to be open. The value now is much much higher probably in the hundreds. Now allows 4-legged mechs to have leg armor on the fore-legs and decreases that armor amount to arm level if the mech is switched back to a 2-legged mech. Fixed a bug that allows 4-legged mechs with jump jets in the arms to switch to a 2-legged mech and still retain those jump jets. Version 3.0a: New MDI interface. Multiple mech windows open at once. Tactical handbook rules and weapons added. New help file. Technology selector added. Combat value and an experimental mech rating number added to the advanced ratios. Version 2.2: Added a zoom, print, and exit button to the print preview window. Allowed weapons to fire in the rear arc from the legs. Added the ability to add multiple tons of ammo at once in the same location. Enabled the cursor keys as a scrolling mechanism in the print preview box. Enabled the page up and page down keys in the print preview box. Now uses two fonts for the main edit box and the equipment box so that the program should work well within the confines of the screen in 640x480 through 1024x768 resolutions. Added LAM support. Added 4 leg mech support. Added ability to use standard system colors instead of default colors. Version 2.1b: Fixed a hatchet problem with version 2.1. Version 2.1: Added the ability to split AC/20 and artillery weapons between adjacent locations. Changes necessary to make this possible also reduced the size of mec files by a large factor. Please see the read.me file for a description of how to convert your mec files. Also, this version allows different actuators in each arm. Cosmetic changes were made to the equipment box and a button was added there to take you directly to the print preview screen which is new to this version. Print preview is also available from the main editing screen via the print button. It gives the choice of print preview or hard copy print. Version 2.0: Original release of the mech editor. Version 1.0: Very pre-release versions only used for alpha and beta testing. This version was never released to the public. BattleTech, Mech, and Tactical handbook are registered Trademarks of FASA corporation.
