s3gendac.txt this file is for the s3gendac.zip file If you have an S3 805 video card with a GENDAC (the generic DAC) and can not run SVGA on your system without causing a complete lockup then all you need to do is replace 'svga.exe' in your *:\os2 directory with the one in this archive (don't forget to rename your old one first just in case) and run selective install and select S3 and all should work (it did for me). one way to test this program prior to running the install is to run it from a dos full screen session. type 'svga status' from your \os2 directory and see if it detects your video card properly. This fix may work with other types of S3 cards as well. I suggest that you read the OS/2 manual and understand video driver installation prior to attempting use of this program as it is difficult to restore usefulness in some instances when things don't go right.
