REVIEW MODE COMMANDS

This same information can be retrieved directly from within Review Mode
if you press F1.  You can also request this information from the help
submenu on the voice control panel.  Regardless of how you ask for the
help information you will be presented with several screens of
information.  You can press Page Down for the next screen, Page Up for
the previous or Escape to quit.  Pressing the space bar will reread the
current screen.

STANDARD WINDOW COMMANDS

F2 - Toggles between full-screen and currently selected window.

F3 - Prompts for the standard window number (0-9) to switch to.  This
window will then be the currently selected window until another is
selected.

ALT-F3 - Prompts for the window to switch to as does F3 but also makes
sure all other windows which are not float are set to neutral.

F4 - Prompts for the window coordinates of the selected window.

F5 - Sets the top line and left column of the selected window to the
review cursor position.

F6 - Sets the bottom line and right column of the selected window to the
review cursor position.

F7 - Rotors the status of the current window among Silent, Speak, Float,
and Neutral.

ALT-F7 - Pops up a box which allows you to setup specific information for
the selected window.  You can setup the status, window foreground and
background colors, window to chain read, if it should speak and spell,
light bar status and finally the light bar foreground and background colors.

F8 - Speaks the current window status and coordinates.  This will also
speak the selected hyperactive window status and coordinates.

ALT-F8 - Speaks the status and coordinates of all ten windows.

F9 - Speaks the contents of the current window.

F10 - Prompts for the coordinates of a dynamic (temporary) window and
reads it.

EXTENDED WINDOW COMMANDS

CTRL-F3 - Prompts for the extended window number (10-49) to switch
to.  Type the desired window number and press ENTER.  This window will
then be the currently selected extended window until another is selected.

CTRL-F4 - Prompts for the window coordinates of the currently selected
extended window.

CTRL-F5 - Sets the top line and left column of the selected extended
window to the review cursor position.

CTRL-F6 - Sets the bottom line and right column of the selected extended
window to the review cursor position.

CTRL-F8 - Speaks the status of all forty extended windows.  Vocal-Eyes
assumes if the coordinates of an extended window are set to the full
screen, it is unused.  If the coordinates are anything but the full screen, it
is considered used.  The windows will be spoken in groups.  For example:
"windows 10 through 30 unused, windows 31 through 35 used,
windows 36 through 49 unused."

HYPERACTIVE WINDOW COMMANDS

SHIFT-F3 - Prompts for the hyperactive window (A-J) to switch to.  This
window will then be the currently selected hyperactive window until
another is selected.

SHIFT-F4 - Prompts for the window coordinates of the currently selected
hyperactive window.

SHIFT-F5 - Sets the top line and left column of the selected hyperactive
window to the review cursor position.

SHIFT-F6 - Sets the bottom line and right column of the selected
hyperactive window to the review cursor position.

SHIFT-F7 - Pops up a box which allows you to setup specific information
for the currently selected hyperactive window.  You can setup the status,
whether the hyperactive window should interrupt the speech when it has
triggered, what it should trigger on and what the three possible
commands should do when the hyperactive window triggers.

SHIFT-F8 - Speaks the status and coordinates of all ten hyperactive
windows.

CURSORING COMMANDS

Left Arrow - Moves the cursor to the previous character and reads it.

H - Moves the cursor to the previous character and reads it.

Right Arrow - Moves the cursor to the next character and reads it.

U - Moves the cursor to the next character and reads it.

Up Arrow - Moves the cursor up one line.  By default, Vocal-Eyes will
read the new line.  However, using the "V" command, you can instruct
Vocal-Eyes to read the new character or word instead.

K - Moves the cursor up one line.  By default, Vocal-Eyes will read the
new line.  However, using the "V" command, you can instruct Vocal-Eyes
to read the new character or word instead.

Down Arrow - Moves the cursor down one line.  By default, Vocal-Eyes
will read the new line.  However, using the "V" command, you can
instruct Vocal-Eyes to read the new character or word instead.

J - Moves the cursor down one line.  By default, Vocal-Eyes will read the
new line.  However, using the "V" command, you can instruct Vocal-Eyes
to read the new character or word instead.

CTRL-Left Arrow - Moves the cursor to the previous word and reads it.

CTRL-Right Arrow - Moves the cursor to the next word and reads it.

CTRL-Up Arrow - Moves the cursor to the top left of the current window. 
(101-key keyboards only)

CTRL-PAGEUP - Moves the cursor to the top left of the current window.

= - (Equal sign) Moves the cursor to the top left of the current window.

CTRL-Down Arrow - Moves the cursor to the first column of the last line
in the current window.  (101-key keyboards only)

CTRL-PAGEDOWN - Moves the cursor to the first column of the last line
in the current window.

' - (Apostrophe) Moves the cursor to the first column of the last line in the
current window.

ALT-Left Arrow - Moves the cursor to the first character of the current
line in the current window and reads it.  (101-key keyboards only)

PAGEUP - Moves the cursor to the first character of the current line in the
current window and reads it.

[ - (Left bracket) Moves the cursor to the first character of the current line
in the current window and reads it.

ALT-Right Arrow - Moves the cursor one character past the last printable
character of the current line in the current window and reads it.  (101-key
keyboards only)

PAGEDOWN - Moves the cursor one character past the last printable
character of the current line in the current window and reads it.

] - (Right bracket) Moves the cursor one character past the last printable
character of the current line in the current window and reads it.

ENTER - Moves the cursor to the first column of the next line within the
current window and reads the new line.

HOME - Moves the cursor to the previous sentence and reads it.

END - Moves the cursor to the next sentence and reads it.

CTRL-HOME - Moves the cursor to the previous paragraph and reads it.

CTRL-END - Moves the cursor to the next paragraph and reads it.

FIND COMMANDS

F - Prompts for a pattern to search for within the current window.  You
can set the attributes for each character by pressing F1.  You will then be
prompted for the foreground and background colors.  Each character
typed after these settings will be the selected attribute until the attribute
setting has been changed by pressing F1 again.  If you end the pattern
with the ENTER key the search will start at the upper left corner of the
active window and proceed to the end of the window.  If you press the >
(greater than key), the search will start at the cursor position and proceed
to the end of the window.  If you press < (less than) instead, the search
will start at the cursor position and go to the top of the window.  You can
use the ? (question mark) to match any character.  If you wish to search
for a < (less than), > (greater than), ? (question mark) or ` (grave
accent), you must precede the character with the ` (grave accent).

> - (greater than)  Starts searching for the last specified pattern from the
next cursor position to the end of the window.

< - (less than)  Starts searching for the last specified pattern from the
previous cursor position to the beginning of the window.

ATTRIBUTE COMMANDS

A - Takes the current attribute under the cursor and assigns it to the user
attribute.  If you follow this command immediately with F1, you will be
prompted for the foreground and background colors.

B - Takes the current attribute under the cursor and assigns it to the Light
bar attribute.  If you follow this command immediately with F1, you will
be prompted for the foreground and background colors.

S - Search toward the bottom of the screen for the first character with a
different attribute than the attribute under the cursor.  If found, the cursor
will be positioned on the new character.  The new character and color will
be announced.

W - Takes the current attribute under the cursor and assigns it to the
current window color.  If you follow this command immediately with F1,
you will be prompted for the foreground and background colors.

MARKER COMMANDS

M - Prompts for the marker number to set at the cursor position.

G - Prompts for the marker to go to.  Once specified, the cursor will be
moved to the requested marker.

BLOCK COMMANDS

P - Places a mark at the cursor position for later block copying.  You must
place a mark before you can copy a block.  You can be at the top left or
the bottom right of the block.

R - Replace the data in the block buffer with the specified information. 
This copies all data in a window fashion from the previous mark to the
current cursor position.  Any existing data in the block buffer will be
replaced.

T - Adds or tags the specified information to the block buffer.  This works
just like the R Replace command but appends the information to what is
already in the block buffer.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMANDS

SPACE - Reads the current review cursor position.

ALT-B - This will set the typewriter bell position to the position of the
review cursor.  You can also set this position from the general submenu.

L - Reads the current line under the cursor.

V - rotors among character, word, or line.  By default when you press the
up or down arrows, Vocal-Eyes will read the new line.  Using this toggle,
you can instruct Vocal-Eyes to read the new character or word instead.

C - Allows you to send data directly to your synthesizer.

` - (grave accent) Prevents the next command typed from being used as a
review mode command.  If you have a hot key defined as one of the
review mode commands, you can use this key to access your hot key.

F1 - Displays these help screens.

EXITING COMMANDS

ESCAPE - Exits review mode.  You could also use your fast review mode
key or the user definable hot key.

ALT-ESCAPE - Exits review mode and attempts to route the video cursor
to the position of the review cursor.  (101-key keyboards only)

ALT-X - Exits review mode and attempts to route the video cursor to the
position of the review cursor.
