Instructions for the BBS PromoPak!

     These are news releases that you can use to promote your BBS over 
the next couple months.  All you have to do is put the appropriate 
items in the appropriate places (they begin an end with []), print it 
out on your BBS Letterhead and mail it off to your friendly 
neighborhood media outlets.


     The files in this PromoPak are:
CONNECT.TXT   which is designed to redirect users, or potential users 
              of the national services to local BBSs (specifically 
              yours)
CHRISTMA.TXT  which will direct people who get modems for Christmas to 
              local BBSs (specifically yours)
README.TXT    This very file you are reading (curiously enough)
SURVEY.TXT    A survey I would appreciate you filling out and sending 
              to me
FILE_ID.DIZ   Description File
AD.TXT        An unabashed advertisement for my services as a 
              consultant.


     Please note that there are TWO endings to each news release.  One 
is for BBSs that have subscription fees, the other is for free BBSs.  
You MUST delete one or the other.

     Also note on CHRISTMA.TXT there is an embargo date.  The embargo 
means that even though you sent it to your local media outlets the 
story should not be used before December 26, 1994.  But you should be 
available for interviews beforehand, as the "Editor's Note" says.

     PromoPaks will be distributed on an irregular basis, and are FREE 
for your unlimited use.  Keep an eye out for future announcements.

     PromoPaks are based on BBS-PR16.ZIP, the BBS Guide to Public 
Relations written by Robert Parson.  It's can be downloaded on the 
first call or FREQed from Jackalope Junction BBS at 501 785 5381.
