Readme.txt (02/03/95) Several quick notes to try and save some of your time and money.. 1) Synabacab REQUIRES a FOSSIL driver to be loaded for remote use. Most BBS software requires the use of a FOSSIL anyway.. it is a very reliable way for serial communications to take place.. much easier than updating internal comm routines. Even if your software does not use a FOSSIL driver, you can still use Syn. What you will need to do is to download a copy of a FOSSIL driver. I suggest BNU or X00. I have used both with very little trouble. After getting a copy of a FOSSIL driver, alter your batch file so it loads the FOSSIL driver, then loads Syn and then unloads the FOSSIL driver. Here is an example.. If need be, BNU is available for FREQ with magic name BNU from (1:2360/13) rem -------------------------------------------------------------- rem Example Batch file for Syn with FOSSIL loading and unloading.. c: rem Load BNU (FOSSIL driver) c:\dos\BNU.com rem Load Synabacab cd \bbs\Syn Syn.exe syn1.cfg rem Unload BNU (Remove FOSSIL driver from memory) c:\dos\BNU.com /U exit rem -----------------end of batch file---------------------------- 2) I currently do NOT have an online registration system.. I have no idea how to get one running and quite honestly, am too lazy to look into it right now. (Have you ever tried to work 3 jobs, go to college and write shareware on the side???) :) 3) If you need help with the program, feel free to NetMail me [1:2360/13] or leave a message on my BBS [(608)787-0735] about the door.
