(October 12, 1994) SCWWS.DLL is a Windows program file which allows Smartcom for Windows versions 1.0A, 1.0B, and 1.0C to connect to TCP/IP hosts through a Windows Sockets interface. SCWWS.DLL should be placed in the Smartcom for Windows Program Directory (usually C:\SCWIN). SETWSOCK.EXE is a Windows program which modifies the Smartcom for Windows to use SCWWS.DLL. SETWSOCK.EXE also allows you to restore Smartcom for Windows to its original unmodified state. You must run SETWSOCK.EXE once to set Smartcom for Windows to its Windows Sockets mode. You don't need to run it again unless you want to restore Smartcom for Windows to its original state. You can run SETWSOCK.EXE by selecting Run from the Windows Program Manager's File Menu. Smartcom for Windows versions 1.0A, 1.0B, and 1.0C have a Connection Type option called "TCP/IP - Sun". You must use this Connection Type to connect through Windows Sockets. The Connection Type setting is found by selecting Choose Port from the Connection Menu. ------------------------------------------------------------------
