Hi everybody This my examination file: at last I am a Doom Master! I feel very sorry for having waited so long since my examination-request: the fact is that a lot of things happened together (uni exams, new monitor arrived 2 weeks after the old went away :( (may I apply for the Doom Blind title? :) I've bought Doom II :) etc. etc. ) so that I kept on telling myself "I'll record these LMPS sooner or later", it turns out that 'later' was the right answer :) Now I'll stop this craptalk for a little info about the LMPS: e1m7,e2m5,e3m6 I think this is NOT an easy triplet but anyway I managed to record it mostly first-take (REALLY), 2nd take e1m7, 1st take e2m5, 1st take e3m6 . I have to say anyway that BEFORE recording an LMP I usually play it at least 2 times: one with the dehacked super weapon pack installed :) just to figure out where the people is and the other in god mode just to see if it is a limited-ammo level or not... free1-2 As you can see I've included two free lmps ( at the price of only one :), the fact is that I was unable to decide which one was the best one: both are recorded on e1m2 and both deal with barrel mushing: basically I try to kill as much people as pos- sible without shooting them directly but using as much barrels as possible; you can judge yourself the (gory) results :). Anyway in free2 I don't do the dance at the start of the level I wait till I have cleared the first room. control method I think the best control method is the one I use myself ( of course :) that is left hand on the keyboard ( arrow keys + right shift ) and right hand on my trusted logitech mouseman ( a mouse that is :) ; keyboard control is really hopeless in deathmatch against a mouse-controlled opponent ( I usually beat 50-4 my keyboard fans friends :), I think the only little improvement that could be done would be having two other keys near or under the cursor keys to control strafe by keyboard if necesary in order to do, together with the mouse, a circular path while firing toward the center ( really useful against big monsters ). This is impractical with my current key arrangement since I would have to leave the shift key in order to access the strafe movement ( middle mouse button ) which is not so desirable... hardware A normal 486/66 with 16Mb ram, two H.D. (340M DOS, 527M OS/2), a fast graphic adapter ( W32p 2MB RAM ), a SoundBlaster 16ASP with a General MIDI external keyboard connected to it ( it's really different from CRAPPY FM :), a nearly esoteric Hi-Fi in order to properly appreciate the sound effects :), a 2x CD ROM and a FlightStick. OK, I think that "that's all folks", if you have comments/suggestions please feel free to email me...
