To use READ.EXE, I recommend that you copy the READ.EXE program
     into the DOS or any other pathed directory.  This will allow you to
     use it in any directory.  simply type read and the file name to be
     viewed at the dos prompt and press enter.  Pressing the space bar
     at any time will pause the display and place an options bar at the
     bottom of the screen.  If the program doesn't seem to work right,
     you may need to add a line such as DEVICE=c:\dos\ansi.sys to your
     config.sys file.  If you have any trouble, a comment or a question
     about the program, I regularly monitor Blind Talk and Blink Talk in
     the Fidonet conference.  Or you may write or call.
