The version currently available is the beta version. The authors are 
currently working on the full version witch is supposed to have GUS 
support as well as many other things. If you take a look at the .DOC file 
that comes with it you would find all of the explanations. Maybe someone 
could post the DOC file or some of it on here? I deleted cubic off my HD 
once I took a look at it -- I don't have any room left!

Are there any other programs you've encountered that have problem with your MB?
Any newer commercial products that don't work 100%?

Is there any chance that it is the video card that is causing the problems?

Believe it or not, for about two days I was subscribed to the multisound
mailing list (dropped it because of too much traffic - may have to do that
with this one as well) and in that short period, a message came across
describing a product that would appear to meet your needs exactly.  Bear in
mind, though, that I'm just passing along this message - I know *ABSOLUTELY
NOTHING* about how well this product works (although I suppose you could
write to the author of this message if you have questions):

Are you on a PC platform?  If so, the program you absolutely need is called
Midi Renderer from DiAcoustics.  This excellent program comes with a CD
w/200 megs of sampled instruments.  It takes any midi, and outputs a WAV
file at any resolution desired.  Totally blows away any 
wave table type midi card.

Can someone explain why soundcards must contain RAM to do this type of .MODule
mixing? What I'm getting at is, it would be nice to have a card that does'nt
require on-card RAM to be able to do non-CPU-intensive sample mixing. Could'nt
this be accomplished by using motherboard RAM and DMA?

(side note: I'm sure if this could be done, we would'nt have videocards with
onboard RAM... now would we?)

I want to know the reasons why this can't be done! (BTW, I've got 16MB 60ns RAM
on my MB, so you can see why I'm biased! ;-))

1. No, there are NO other programs. Only Iplay. Funny isn't it?
2. I tried 4 VGA cards: Diamond stealth 864/964, Trident 8900, noname 
   S3 805. All the same.

I read through the DOCS when I got the program and I was just curious if there
was a new version that I missed or something.. thanks...

That would be nice.  I've got 4 MB of 45ns and 4 MB of 53 ns.
