Some songs can be figured out very easily, such as Weigh and the such (Simple jazzy chords), but I want to learn Page's soloing. Well, after the Dayton show I asked Mike about Erie. He said the last three shows were pretty hot. I said, no Mike, What about you at Erie when Trey was Clapping in front of your face. He just laughed and was laughed and didn't give me a direct answer. Who knows? Just some phood phor thought. -A.Happy.netter " Is Phish Brain Phood, or Is My Brain Phish Phood?" ------------------------------ From: frankenste@aol.com (Frankenste) Subject: HELP-lost in the sea Date: 13 Feb 1995 14:23:03 -0500 Reply-To: frankenste@aol.com (Frankenste) ----My name is Frankenstein ----I've been into Phish for five years now, and love them, but I've only been in AOL for a week, and Phish.net for three days. ----I have a huge collection of live recordings from 86' to New Years at the Boston Garden. The longest cds I have run about 79 minutes. If the DLCD were each this long, that would allow for one more song on each disc. Perhaps Shelly chose seventy minutes knowing that most people would probably exceed this slightly (?). While we're on the topic, does anyone know why *any* cd has this sort of time restriction? I mean, if you can put the entire Encyclopedia Britannica on one disc, why can't music discs be longer? Does sound take up more space than written word? Someone once told me that when cds first came out, the manufacturers needed to set out some sort of guidelines for the length. They asked someone what the longest piece of music was, and were told that it was a classical piece that spanned about 75 minutes, so that was the length that they chose. I have absolutely no idea if this is true - any ideas or info would be helpful. ex-Mitch (the left nostril) ------------------------------ From: James A Reinhardt Subject: re:Pulp Fiction Odities Reply-To: reinha16@student.msu.edu Date: Mon, 13 Feb 1995 21:19:26 GMT A simple explination for the difference in the words spoken by several people could be that they are said in different stories. ps The car that was crashed(Vincent's) was Quentin's. ------------------------------ From: kala@wam.umd.edu (Cari Busch) Subject: Re: newbies suck. As the subject says, I have a sweet copy of the 12/29 show. It's first gen analog and only 1 DAT clone from the masters made that day. It's good to be the king.... or, at least the tree administrator. ;-) I would like to trade the second set (or the whole show) with it's renowned 35-minute rendition of David Bowie for the Tweezerfest, 5/7/94 set II from the Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX.
