These fit on two 90-minute blanks. I know alot of people want good copies of this show so I'm willing to spin for anyone for 2 90-min blanks and return postage. Email me if you're interested. One thing though--and this goes for all the time, not just my offer-- When you mail someone blanks, _do not_ forget to include a note reminding the taper what they are supposed to copy for you...it makes life so much easier. Also, pre-addressed and pre-stamped return envelopes are strongly suggested, but not required. I will disclose this, though--When I spin tapes for newbies, I _always_ offer to spin again for those who make it easy on me. Reply-To: mphilli6@osf1.gmu.edu Date: Mon, 13 Feb 1995 23:21:57 GMT I have been up on the Phishnet for a month or so now and enjoy it greatly. I know what I am about to write is not specifically about Phish, so flame me if you must, but a flame is better for me well being than not telling you all. The House of Reps. last week passed a bill called the Exclusionary Rule Reform Act 1995. This takes the 4th Amendment (illegal search and siezure) and throws it out the window. Police will no longer need warrents from a judge to search your home, dorm room or car. They will not need probable cause, only their "good faith" belief that some illegal activity is going on. I wanted to put this bit of info out because the media sees to have ignored it and I want to keep all my Phish phriends safe. Be careful as you drive from state to state to see shows this summer. Having a Phish or Dead sticker on the back of your car may get you stopped and searched by the police. If you think this is a bad move by the Congress, find out how your representative voted and write to them with your opinion. (Every Dem voted against it, all but 14 brave Repubs. voted for this intrusion into your life.) Good luck to everyone and be safe. It's early (7:20 am), so they decide to wait 10-20 minutes before kicking in the door. When they get in, they find the teens in the process of eating their hamburgers - on the early side of eating, too (the guy at the table hasn't even had a bite yet). The questions: - How did the burgers get into the apartment, if they didn't come through the front door? - If they DID come through the front door, but before the hitmen arrived, how come the teens were just getting down to eating them? - What kind of burger joint is open at 7am, serving burgers, no less? I have heard many debates over the topic of this song and over what the words are. After listening to the arguments and to the song many times, I have come to the conclusion that YEM has no specific meaning, and searching for a specificmeaning, while not a total waste of time becaus it is a great tune, is futile. We can each make our own interpretation of the words, but the bottom line is that YEM is a groove and the words are not important, the music and the way the music makes you feel is. That's my small change, agree or disagree. -Brendan ------------------------------ From: Oliver Soell Subject: Re: Cannonball???? There is no need to contact the artist for permission, since, as someone has already pointed out, the artist gives permission in the act of sending the video to MTV. I don't want to sound offended like the guy from Blinghamptonne, but in the post which listed all of the shows from '94 (was that J()e or Mark Goldberg? - whoever it was, thanx!) I found a tiny error. For the Montreal shows, you have abbreviated Quebec to QC. The actual abbreviation should be PQ (Provence du Quebec). I know this may seem insignificant, but I have received shows labelled MA when they meant Minnesota, MN when they meant Montana, MS when they meant Massachusetts(sp?), etc. Of course, no one is likely not to know where Montreal is, but this becomes important with smaller úÿ (continued next message) -- END OF MESSAGE --
