Welcome to Bummer! for OS/2 version 2.0 This program is a PM implementation of the classic SORRY! board game. To Install: At a command prompt type install, or double click on the Install.CMD object from the workplace shell. Install will prompt you for a directory to place Bummer in. It will then copy some files and setup a folder on your desktop. This folder can be placed anywhere you like, such as in a games folder. Please see the online help for instructions on how to play. First of all, though, there are five settings I recommend you change before you start playing. After you have started the game, select Options from the menu. Select Settings. Now you will see a dialog box with a section marked 'Recommended'. Check all four of the boxes in this section. (If you don't have MMPM/2 support installed, you will not be able to select sound.) Next, at the bottom of the dialog will be a slider entitled 'Computer Speed'. Move this slider to the middle. Select Help (or press F1) at any time if you would like more information. Select OK and then go to the File menu. Select 'Start New Game' and you are ready to go. List of new features in this version: -Sound! -Option to highlight computer's move -Pawn placed in Templates folder -Drag 'N' Drop file loading -Prompt if no humans are left -Prompt to save on exit -WPS installation utility -Nag pops up less frequently (once every other move) -Corrected seven card (finally) I have included two saved games (game1.bsg and game2.bsg) with this version. That way, those of you who have not registered (just about everyone) can still try out the drag n drop file loading and see how much nicer it is when settings are saved between games. Enjoy!
