(Please turn on Word Wrap to view this document.) ===== ===== IconWorks Pro ===== ===== Version 1.12 - 1/4/95 ===== ===== Copyright (C) 1995 by Lou A. Moccia ===== IconWorks Pro is a powerful, feature-packed icon editor and viewer that rivals the best around. IconWorks Pro is also free, making it the ultimate in value! --- --- Distribution --- IconWorks Pro is distributed as a PKZIP 2 maximum compression archive. It contains the following 9 files: readme.txt iwpro.ex_ mhcomd.vb_ setup.exe iwpro.hl_ mhdrag.vb_ setupkit.dll dwvstamp.vb_ mhrun400.dl_ These files will fit on a 360K diskette. --- --- Installation --- Before you can install IconWorks Pro, you must obtain the file named VBRUN300.DLL and copy it to your Windows System directory if you do not have it already. (Note the 3 in the file name.) This file can be obtained from your favorite BBS, online service, or shareware distribution company. It is not included in the IconWorks Pro archive (starting with version 1.1) in order to greatly reduce size of the archive for downloaders. Simply run the included SETUP.EXE application to install IconWorks Pro. There are some options you can select, such as creating a Program Manager group and associating icon files with IconWorks Pro. (The "Install the Supplemental Icon Files" option is only available with the diskette version of IconWorks Pro.) Total disk space required for the installed files is about 396K. The Setup application used for IconWorks Pro is intelligent. That is, each file is installed only when it does not exist in the destination, or when it is newer than the existing file in the destination. Support files are only installed to the Windows System directory if they are absolutely newer then ones already there; otherwise, the support files are installed in the IconWorks Pro directory when they are not found in the Windows System directory. At the end of the installation, you will have the option of viewing the informative IconWorks Pro Help documentation. By the way, a list of all the files installed (and also details on how they are installed) can be found in the help. --- --- Support --- Please feel free to discuss with me anything about IconWorks Pro. I can be reached at the E-Mail address: thescree@aol.com If you would like the latest complete IconWorks Pro diskette at any time, which includes the latest VBRUN300.DLL file and a bunch of supplemental icon files, just send $2.00 to cover postage and handling to: Lou A.
