VNSTBAR.EXE - A Title Bar for VINES (copyright 1994 - Chris Constantarakos) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install VNSTBAR.EXE run SETUP.EXE from within Windows. The setup program and VNSTBAR.EXE require VBRUN300.DLL but I have not included it to save space. It is readily available on Compuserve and on the Internet (ftp.microsoft.com). If you have trouble installing the application you can do it yourself using the expand utility shipped with Windows. You need to expand the following files: VBCTL3D.VB_ to VBCTL3D.VBX VNSTBAR.EX_ to VNSTBAR.EXE VNSTBAR.WR_ to VNSTBAR.WRI The first file goes in the windows system directory while the others can go anywhere as long as they are in the same directory. The copy of VBCTL3D.VBX supplied here is version 1.51. The setup program does not do version checking and if the file already exists will not overwrite it. This can cause problems if you have an older version of VBCTL3D.VBX. The best way is to verify what you have by checking the size of the file. Version 1.51 is 76,228 bytes. Remember you must be logged in to run the program and the Z: drive must be in the path (need access to VNSAPI.DLL and VNSMAIL.DLL). VNSTBAR.EXE is freeware. No warranty is expressed or implied and using it is at your own risk. It has been tested on VINES 5.53(6) and Windows 3.1. I also want to thank Mike Chapman of TechDesign (100030,351) for his vast improvement over the standard setup kit supplied with Visual Basic. VINES is a registered trademark of Banyan Systems Inc.
