Internet Database Instructions ------------------------------ This program is very straight forward in its operation. Upon execution it will load a database that has a number of addresses already entered in it. The database itself is in Microsoft Access 1.1 format so those of you with Access can open it there. Adding / Deleting ----------------- If you want to add more records click on New, fill in the information and click Save when done. Click on delete if you want to delete the current record. Moving Around ------------- I've provided buttons on the right. Click on one and it will bring you to the first record that starts with that letter. There is also a slider bar at the bottom whereby you can single step through the records. What To Do With The Addresses ----------------------------- That's the best part. Using bookmarks in a Web browser can be a real pain in the neck -- especially when your list starts getting rather large. If you keep Internet Database running in the background while you're cruising all you have to do is copy and paste the addresses to the browser. In the database hilight the address you want to go to and hit Control-C (or Edit and Copy). Go into the browser and hilight the location that is there already. Hit Control-V (or Edit and Paste) and hit Enter. Off you go... real simple. Database Corruption ------------------- In the unlikely event that the database gets corrupted, I've built in a repair routine for the program. Click on File then Repair Database and Click OK when prompted. In case your wondering, it won't hurt to repair a database that isn't damaged. What's Next ----------- That's up to you. This program was essentially designed as a simple and quick way to store Internet Addresses. If you're like me, you hate to write all this stuff down on little scrap pieces of paper. Tell me what you want, what you like/dislike, or what you think could be better about the program and I'll try to get the improvements done in a timely fashion.
