LATEST.TXT - What's new in UltraPak 2.0 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Version 2.0 was released in mid-February 1995. The following changes and new features have been implemented: 1) Problem fixed where UltraPak was started up with an invalid COM port in ULTRAPAK.INI. The program would not allow the port to be changed ! 2) Multi-stream support added. Ten seperate windows available so that seperate connections can be established and traffic confined to its own window. Stream-switching can be accomplished by mouse or simple ALT-key combination. On screen display of the status of all streams at all times. 3) Receive Window may now be split where more than one connection is established. Split may be horizontal or vertical. An AutoSplit option is available for automatic splitting. 4) PMS connection status displayed on-screen. 5) New menu items added - Stream menu and Window menu, to handle multi-stream operation. 6) Improved help facilities. 7) Support for 4800 baud added. 8) Option added to send DAYTIME command to TNC at startup. 9) Requirement for TNC's DCD line to be connected removed. 10) "Win" button added to handle Receive Window splitting operations. 11) "Ver" button added to enable manual verification of stream statuses. 12) On screen display of any port errors encountered. 13) The connect status of the current stream displayed in the "Message Preparation" window. 14) Main UltraPak window is now sizeable. 15) Size of UltraPak's transmit and receive buffers now configurable from 1 to 16 kbytes each. 16) Receive Window buffer is now scrollable using the Up and Down-Arrow keys, plus the Page Up, Page Down, Home and End keys.
