       What is ShadowNet? It is a network for the exchange of Data
       and Ideas. ShadowNet was originally established as a "Fido"
       type network between two Systems, Shadow Realm and Gravestone,
       to swap message bases. Since then, the Network has grown.
       The Network, as I type up this Doc, now has 9 "Fido" type
       Nodes and Growing. Now the network is availible to Synchronet
       BBS's and other BBS's that support QWK networking.


       How do I apply?

       If your Applying for QWK Node Access:

           1) Fill out the enclosed SNET.APP.

           2) Call The Data Exchange and Create your QWK Node Account
              under your Systems QWK ID.

           3) Upload your Application to:
              Main Files Archive/Applications Directory

           4) Wait for a VOICE call verifying your information has
              been processed before Polling for messages.

       If your Applying for FIDO Node Access:

           1) Fill out the Enclosed SNET.APP.

           2) Call The Data Exchange and Login as GUEST

           3) Upload your Application to:
              Main Files Archive/Applications Directory

           4) Wait for a VOICE call Verifying your information has
              been processed before Polling for Messages.

      Rules:

          All current rules for users are located in RULES.??? files.
          The only rule for Sysops and Moderators is to Enforce the
          rules. The RULES.??? files included are availible in various
          forms (ANS=ANSI,ASC=ASCII,MSG=Ctrl-A). It is recommended that
          Sysops post the User rules on their system for Users to read.

      Other Items of Importance:

         *If you wish to carry Adult subs it is important that you
          mail a printed copy of your application with a Photocopy
          of a valid Photo ID (Drivers Liscence, Military ID, or
          Passport) in addition to uploading your application to
          The Data Exchange.

         *For information about Message Subs and Settings Consult
          SUBS.TXT

         *NOTE!!!! I have included Message base ASCII files for Importing
                   into different softwares to save you some time in
                   setting up the bases. After Importing PLEASE make sure
                   that you adjust the appropriate settings to match those
                   in the SUBS.TXT file. My settings will most likely
                   _NOT_ match yours.

                   SYNCSNET.TXT -> For importing into Synchronet BBS V2.1+
                   FIDOSNET.TXT -> For importing into FIDO type programs
                                   (for programs that accept FIDONET.NA)
