DIFFERENCES COMPARED WITH REBEL 6.0

WHAT HAS STAYED
===============
Compared to REBEL 6.0 is in fact almost everything you were already happy
with like:
- UNLIMITED INSTALLS so no risk at all with the necessary copyprotection
- the good looking display of the screen with a clear sight on the board
- the database functions with all the different kind of search options and
  overviews
- Support on the external " Mephisto Chessboard" and "Saitek Kasparov board"


IMPROVEMENTS
============
1) Improved chessprogramm (50 ELO Points)
2) 25 % faster because of 486 and Pentium optimized assembler-code
3) with VESA-support faster graphics
4) 256 colors completely free to define
5) pulldown-menu now fully windows-alike
6) animation (none, normal or fast), 
7) drag the chess pieces with the mouse 
9) 5 languages: English, German, Spanish, French and Dutch 


NEW FEATURES

1) New warroom with lots of extra information for those who want a deep look
   inside the heart of the chessengine:
    a) info about plydepth also in permanent brain;
    b) info about hashtables: how many times a transposition is found and to 
       which level your computers memory is already filled up with these 
       tables;
    c) percentage of selective calculating;
    d) display of minimum and maximum time that the computer is using before
       it will move;

2) Special windows mode

3) Support for hashtables till 60 Mb

4) New database options:
    a) Import and export of PGN-FORMAT including commentary and analysis so 
       INTERNET-COMPATIBLE;
    b) NiCBase functions now integrated which means REBEL 7.0 can read NiCBase 
       files directly without first leaving the program.
    c) All the converting, importing and exporting functions for PGN and NiCBase
       format can be done within the program itself: 
	- NiCBase --> REBEL 
	- REBEL   --> NiCBase
	- PGN     --> REBEL 
	- REBEL   --> PGN

5) New openingbook functions:
    a) overviews of REBEL books;
    b) main book twice as much moves as before (now 500.000);
    c) support of the ECO-codes for openinglines;
    d) special tournamentbook with only good variations for REBEL;
    e) very easy to make programeable book: now you can make your own book(s)!

6) Now this one is real hot: you now can convert the openingbooks of Fritz, 
   Genius, Chessmaster und Chessmachine into the REBEL format and then use it 
   in REBEL 7.0!
  
7) And last but not least:
   Rebel 7.0 supports the Donninger AUTO232 software (!!)
   While (Auto)playing your games REBEL 7.0 offers you the following extra:
    a) Rebel 7.0 will cancel double games !!
    b) Rebel 7.0 shows you the SCORE of the current match !!
    c) Rebel 7.0 will (automatically) terminate games which are WON or a DRAW
       WON/LOST games are based on a (Rebel) score of 5.00 / -5.00 (one have
       to draw the line somewhere)
    d) The (played) games are saved with more information:
	- The result of the game is stored 
	- The playing level is inserted ... For example "1 minute pro move"
	- The Machine type is inserted  ... For example "Pentium 90 Mhz"
	- The full date is stored
	- The current score of the match is stored

CONCLUSIONS
===========
As you can see we can not only think for ourselves (look at the many new 
features) but we also listen to our customers (look at the improvements and
some new features).
