You can use this number to upgrade to any future version of Microqwk. ******************************************************************* ¯ ( F7 - Go To ) Pressing F7 or Clicking the GO TO option on the mouse bar while in QWK mail now presents a window showing a summary of all the messages in the opened conference. F8 Toggle Unreplied Delete ¯ Conference Configuration feature and Adding and Dropping Conferences Version 1.5c of Microqwk has a new configurable feature added which is not documented in any of the text files included with it. If you generally download QWK mail packets from a Spitfire BBS as "Your Queued Conferences" you may now configure Microqwk to show all conferences available on the BBS or only those conferences that are part of your conference queue. This feature is supported now in Microqwk and will be supported in Lakota when the current test version is made available from Mike Woltz and Buffalo Creek Software. Previous to the current test version of Lakota, if you downloaded a QWK packet as "Your Queued Conferences" the CONTROL.DAT file that was included in the QWK packet contained only those conferences that were part of your queue. The current test version of Lakota and the current version of Microqwk (1.5) now support adding and dropping conferences from your conference queue, but in order to add a conference you must first be able to send a message to that conference. Therefore Lakota is being changed to supply a CONTROL.DAT file that includes all conferences available on that board. With Microqwk configured to show "All Conferences" you will be able to send an ADD message to any conference on a board. Configured to show "Your Conferences", however, Microqwk will display only those conferences that are a part of your current queue. If you generally download messages "To You" or new messages from "All Conferences" there will be no apparent difference in the list of conferences that you can choose from. ¯ Sending and Replying to messages with carbon copies Microqwk now supports sending and replying to messages with carbon copies. Pressing CTRL-F5 to send messages with carbon copies and CTRL-F6 to reply to messages with carbon copies allows the user to send the same or an edited message to any individual in any conference. The user may send as many messages as he/she wishes until quitting by pressing . ¯ QWK Extension Configuration Microqwk will now allow any extension to be used for QWK Packets. Dos wildcard characters "*" and "?" may be used. The addition of this feature will require anyone using a version of Microqwk previous to version 1.5 to change their configuration and to renew the ini file by saving their configuration choices. NOTE If you are using a copy of Microqwk previous to version 1.5b, you should re-configure and save your new configuration before attempting to run this version ! Your previous configuration file will not have QWK Extension information. ¯ Formatted Replies Formatted Output on replies is available from the Configuration Menu. If you toggle formatted output on, you will be asked for the line length for your output and for the length to break for a paragraph. MicroQwk defaults to 70 character line length and 58 for break length. You may also change these format parameters from Qwk Mail by pressing ALT - F6. Microqwk will not format commented text but will reproduce those lines without break. ¯ SPITFIRE Deletion Record MicroQwk now supports the creation of an .SDR (Spitfire Deletion Record) file. Previous versions of MicroQwk and Lakota were limited to the deletion of a message in the users message queue if that message was being replied to. MicroQwk now can tag messages that you wish to delete from your message queue, but are not important enough to reply to. Pressing F8 toggles the inclusion of that message in the .SDR file that is included in the reply packet sent to the Spitfire board. Lakota will then process this file when the packet is unzipped and read. With this feature it was also necessary to change the internal record keeping on the status of each message, so as an addition several improvments were made in their display while in the Qwk Mail viewer. Pressing F8 while in QWK mail will toggle the Delete Unreplied Message. A message that you have deleted when replying to that message will not be affected by pressing F8. ¯ SFNET routed Mail MicroQwk allows SFNET routed mail when sending and replying to a SFNET message when used with Lakota ver 1.4 and above.
