 INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE

 1. Extract the distribution archive (usually ALMDN200.ZIP) into a suitable
    directory on your hard drive, or copy all the files into the directory
    if you have already extracted them to a temporary directory.
 2. Run AUTOMOD.BAT to make necessary changes to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, or
    make the changes yourself with a text editor.
 3. If you are upgrading from a previous version, run ALARMCVT.EXE to
    convert your old ALARM.ALM file to the new ALARM.DAT format.
 4. Run ALARM.EXE to configure ALARM for your personal preferences.


   Please read ALARM.DOC. It contains useful information that you should
 know.
