Description:
============

Global Timekeeper will keep track of the local times of the world's 30 time zones.
The application comes with 30 analog clocks which continually updates on a single
display or you may select individual clocks of your choice. Users identify their
own timezone with a single click and all others will automatically adjust to it.
Many settings comes with the application to allow ease of use. The program allows
you to reset your system time and add an alarm to remind you of significant events.
The application can be set to create hourly chimes using up to 5 quality
sound effects.



Requirements:
=============

- Windows 3.x

- VBRUN300.DLL installed in your Windows or System directory (See Below)


Installation:
=============

- Run Install.exe using the RUN option from the file menu of Windows Program Manager or 
double click on the Install.exe icon from the File Manager.

- Follow the directions of the install program.


Installation should have placed the following files in the identified directories:

- GTK.exe in the install directory you specified.

- settings.ini in the same directory as the executable file.

- GTK.txt in the same directory as the executable file.

- All *.WAV files in the same directory as the executable file.

  Chime.wav
  Grandfth.wav
  Bells.wav
  Whistle.wav
  alarm.wav

- All *.VBX and .DLL files in Windows\System directory.
  3dlabel.vbx
  vbpicbtn.vbx

USING THE APPLICATION FOR THE FIRST TIME
========================================
1.  Double-Click the Global Timekeeper Icon
2.  When the application appears, Select the 'Not Yet' button to
    view the program without registering it first.
3.  You should see many clocks displaying timezones around the
    world, double-click any clock face area to display the settings
    window.
4.  Select The timezone option which YOU reside in. The other clocks will
    automatically adjust to your timezone.
5.  Select ACCEPT.
6.  Double click the clock face area again and select the 'Help'
    button to view details on this application.



Distribution:
=============

- Global Timekeeper is distributed as Shareware. The Author maintains all rights to the
program in its entirety. 

- Global Timekeeper may be distributed freely as long as the integrity of
Shareware is maintained.

- In the tradition of Shareware, the author grants a 30 day trial period to the user to
decide whether they want to keep the program. If so, a $20 donation is required. If not,
then before the 30 days is up, you must delete the program from your system.



LICENSING AGREEMENT
===================

GLOBAL TIMEKEEPER IS COPYRIGHTED. BY REGISTERING THIS PRODUCT CUSTOMERS FULLY AGREE
AND ACCEPT THIS LICENSING AGREEMENT. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY REGISTERED USERS
ALLOW THIS PRODUCT TO BE COPIED FOR USE BY ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL OWNER
OF THE REGISTERED VERSION. THIS AGGREEMENT AUTHORIZES THE REGISTERD USER TO USE
THIS PRODUCT ON ONLY ONE COMPUTER. AT NO TIME MAY THIS PRODUCT BE PLACED ON A
NETWORK SYSTEM WITH MORE THAN ONE TERMINAL UNLESS A SPECIFIC NETWORK AGREEMENT
HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED BETWEEN THE AUTHOR AND CUSTOMER. THE AUTHOR MAY REVOKE A
USERS LICENSE TO USE THIS PRODUCT AT ANYTIME HE FEELS THAT THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT
HAS BEEN VIOLATED. IN THIS CASE THE AUTHOR WILL PROVIDE THE CUSTOMER WITH A 30 DAY
NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION. WITHIN THIS 30 DAYS THE CUSTOMER MAY APPEAL TO THE
AUTHOR IN WRITING IF IT IS FELT THEY HAVE NOT VIOLATED THIS AGREEMENT. WHEN THE 30
DAYS HAVE ELAPSED THE AUTHOR WILL MAKE HIS FINAL DECISION AND NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER.
IF THE FINAL DECISION WAS MADE TO TERMINATE THE CUSTOMER'S LICENSE THEN THE CUSTOMER
MUST IMMEDIATELY REMOVE ANY COPY(IES) FROM ANY COMPUTER THAT THIS LICENSE
PERTAINS TO. AT NO TIME IS THE CUSTOMER AUTHORIZED A REFUND OF PAYMENTS MADE TO
THE AUTHOR FOR THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT.

for this program by loading it on their computer. At no time is the author responsible for
any hardware or software malfunctions. Though the author knows of no such problems from
this software, he is not liable if any should occur.

NOTICES:
=======

1.  This is the initial version of Global Timekeeper. The author did a lot of research
to construct this program. However, it is possible that a mistake has been made. If you
notice a mistake please contact the author using the e-mail address below.

2.  The Daylight saving time (DST) option is not yet implemented. All times refer to
Standard timezones. The author has not yet been able to locate sufficient information
about exactly which areas adhere to daylight savings time and which do not. The author
is granting a single FREE registration to the first person who provides him with
VERY DETAILED information on EXACTLY which areas of the world utilize daylight savings
time and which do not, also exactly WHEN this switch is made for each area to DST and
visa versa. The author is soley the decision maker as to who has met this requirement
first.
