*********************************************************** BUILD-O-RAMA Copyright (c) 1995 Mark H. James, Three Cat Software ************************************************************ Thank you for evaluating this program. IMPORTANT: The version of BILDRAMA.EXE, the OS/2 server portion of this package, will not run on versions of OS/2 prior to Version 3, Warp. Users of OS/2 2.1 should download BRAM21.ZIP from wherever you obtained this program; this is a version of BILDRAMA.EXE compiled to run on OS/2 2.1. (Why did we do it this way? The executable file for the Warp version is linked in a new format that cuts its size by about a third, which should boost performance and also reduces the download time for Warp users.) This program is SHAREWARE, not freeware. If you continue to use it after a 30-day evaluation period, please register. See the file REGISTER.TXT for details. WHAT DO I GET FOR REGISTERING? I'll send you a program disk by mail. I'll also send you any updated versions I release for at least a year, for free. I'll also provide a much higher level of support for the program by email. I'll help people get the program running, but otherwise I have to devote most of my efforts to supporting those who support my programming efforts. I also may be able to help you customize the program for other editors, if you want (I haven't included this feature yet, but I'll try if people are interested). In addition to this file, these files are included in this package: SETUP CMD 6126 5-10-95 3:41p SEMASEND EXE 18540 2-14-95 11:19p FISH DLL 6080 5-08-95 1:49a LICENSE TXT 8643 6-12-95 8:17p REGISTER TXT 1258 6-13-95 9:43p BILDRAMA EXE 335312 6-14-95 12:05a BUILDER EXE 169552 6-13-95 9:44p BUILDER HLP 45218 6-12-95 6:16p INSTALLATION 1) Unzip all of the files into a TEMPORARY directory. 2) Run SETUP.CMD from that directory (Rexx must be installed on your system for SETUP.CMD to work). You will be prompted for an installation directory and for the drive letter where Visual C++ is installed. No Visual C++ files are modified or moved, but the installation program needs to put a reference to MSVCVARS.BAT into the AUTOBILD.BAT file it creates. 3) Add the Windows program, BUILDER.EXE to your Tools menu in Visual C++. Make its working directory the directory you installed it and the other files in. 4) MAKE SURE that DDE is set to shared for the WinOS/2 session that Visual C++ is running in. ALWAYS START BUILD-O-RAMA from the Tools menu. It must run in the same WinOS/2 session as Visual C++. Beyond that, read the Windows help file for instructions. Good luck and I hope this program works for you. Send questions or bug reports to: Mark H.
