This .xm uses an 8 bit stereo sample of a drum loop. Stereo samples will greatly enhance the qaulity of sound in you mod files. Here's the SECRET recipe! 1. Record an 8 bit stereo .wav. This can be done using wavelight if you have it. It came with the GUS MAX. 2. Put the program called SPLIT.EXE in the same directory as your .wav file. 3. Now type SPLIT. When it prompts you for the file name then enter the name of the .wav file and make sure to type the file extension too (eg. c>bass.wav). 4. Next you will be prompted to enter the filename for the 1st .wav (remember stereo consists of 2 seperate channels). After this you will be asked for the name of the second file. 5. The next to questions you will have to answer are kind of technical so just type N for the 1st one and 0 for the 2nd one. Voila! 6. No that your sample is split into 2 seperate samples you can load them as 2 seperate instruments. 7. Now all you have to do is have them both played at the same time panning one to the far left and the other to the far right. Ok, that's it. I hope this makes sense to you and I hope to see some people using stereo samples on their mods because it makes a big difference in sound qaulity. BYE, SATYRICON btw. I didn't write the split.exe program. I just compiled it. I don't remember where I got the source code so if you wrote this program, sorry!
