LWPD401A.ZIP/binary

Contains the latest and final fixes for the LAN WorkPlace for DOS 
4.01 product.  No further modifications to this version of LAN 
WorkPlace are planned.  Customers are encouraged to upgrade to 
version 4.1.

Installation instructions:

1.  Go to the \XLN directory, and make a PATCH subdirectory.

2.  Copy the LWPD401A.ZIP file to \XLN\PATCH and unzip it.

3.  Execute the INSTALL.BAT file.

Notes: 

You must have the original LWP DOS 4.01 software installed in order
to apply this update.  If the patch program cannot find the original
4.01 files, the new files will not be installed, and warning messages
will be displayed.  

The patch program will store the original files in the
\XLN\PATCH\BACKUP directory. If you need to revert to the original
files, go to this directory, rename the UNPATCH.BAK file to
UNPATCH.BAT, and execute the file.  The original files will be
restored.

Summary of fixes:

TCPIP.EXE

- 32 bit register conflict (EAX, EDX). Affects protected mode software.
- Interrupt 1C conflict.  Affects Oracle SQL/PME software.
- System hangs when remote host advertises 64K window.
- TCP connections dropped to HP9000.
- Sockets left open after disconnecting from SCO Unix.

RFCNBIOS.EXE

- Dynacomm 3270 emulator can't connect to gateway.
- USDATA NetBIOS software fix.

VTCPIP.386

- GP Fault in WLIBSOCK.DLL in low memory conditions.

TELAPI.EXE

- Problems working with network version of Procomm.
- Change to allow 8 bit characters in ASCII mode.
- Softerm session lockup fix
- Support for BAPI connect function A0.
- TNVT220 hangs in a DOS box under Windows.

CONVERT.EXE

- Fixed unload (-u) switch.

PRESENTR.EXE and TNVT220.EXE

- 80th column cursor positioning problem.
- Support for print controller escape sequences.
- Code sets switched after graphic characters displayed.
- Alt-gr keys don't work on foreign language keyboards.
- DEC All-in-One display problems.
