If your callers are like most, they're trying to gain maximum value from their online time. In today's cost- conscious, consumer oriented marketplace, people appreciate finding good values. Our online discount magazine subscription service can provide those values and doesn't require ANY investment of time or money on your part. Due to our totally online approach to marketing, we're able to pass our savings on to the consumer. As a result of lower marketing costs, our prices are up to 50% off regular subscription rates. Even though we've reduced our rates to reflect the savings of online marketing, at your option, we'll even pay you $1.00 for each subscription we receive from any of your callers. This will generate a few extra dollars for the maintenance of your system and should more than offset your phone charges for downloading an updated price list from us once a month. WHO IS LARAN COMMUNICATIONS? Laran Communications was organized in April, 1991 for the purpose of expanding the commercial applications of the BBS marketplace. As the number of BBSs in service has dramatically increased, sysops have been in search of practical methods of offsetting their increasing costs while at the same time responding to competitive demands for more services. Our goal is to design online applications which make economic sense for both the sysop and caller. HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? Simply complete the bottom of this form and return it to us so that we're aware of your participation. Then, on the top right corner of the order form found in magazine.zip, use an editor to replace our name with yours. This will allow us to properly track orders and to pay you $1.00 for each subscription we receive from your callers. Then, around the 5th or 6th of each month, call our BBS and download an updated price list which is found in our file named MAGAZINE.ZIP. You'll either need to edit the order form text file each month or set up a batch file so that your BBS name always remains a part of the ordrform.txt file. To allow us to maintain what we believe are the lowest prices on the magazines we handle, we will mail your commission check when the amount exceeds $10.00. You can carry the MAGAZINE.ZIP file in any area of your BBS you desire. We've even included some sample ANSI screens in this zip file should you choose to use them to draw attention to your new service. As our prices are subject to change on a monthly basis, these ANSI screens will be updated and found in a file named SCREENS.ZIP on our system. There is never any need for you to become involved in handling any orders or customer inquiries since both our order form and price list refer customers direct to our toll free 800 number. SPECIAL NOTE This price list file cannot be converted to print and used as a direct mail piece which is sent out on an unsolicited basis. --------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE COMPLETE THIS PORTION AND RETURN TO LARAN COMMUNICATIONS, INC. --------------------------------------------------------------------- YES, sign our system up as a participating BBS. I agree not to collect funds directly from any subscriber. I understand that I am acting as an independent contractor responsible for all my own employment taxes, and that I may cancel my participation at any time.
