JAMES REVISION HISTORY ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ 2.20 ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ Bugs fixed: * -LIST could cause James to exit with a memory error. * Fixed the exporting of netmail to points * Fixed the %NewFiles bug which would often give invalid filesizes or totals. Additions/changes: * James now supports three types of message bases: - Hudson (RemoteAccess 1.11, QuickBBS and many others) - EzyCom * Changed tagging of all tagging lists * Improved codesize of JAMESCFG. * Added selected import of FILES.RA in local file areas. * James can now optionally create .ZIC files. (Network/Nodes/Create ZIC files). * Several functions are located under different submenu's now, making the configuration a bit more understandable. * We have included six new metastrings in total: %MBDrivesize, %MBFree, %ShowConnectedFiles, %ShowAvailableFiles, %ShowConnectedAreas and %ShowAvailableAreas. * Search requests will now be sent by the sysop instead of James etc. * When notifying nodes of active areas, a flow indicator will be shown after the areaname. It shows the flow estimated per month. * You can now optionally update a list file (like FILES.BBS) on a different location than the directory the file is received into. * Added internal commandline database (execute with command-line -def=a<-b>). So you can easely execute predefined functions. For example: to execute internal commandline 7 execute James with parameter -def=7. In order to execute internal commandline 3 until 11 execute James with parameter -def=3-11. * Free definition of layout of logfiles. Layout defaults to RA compact FrontDoor logging style. * James now creates messages with a maximum size of 32K. Whenever a message is larger than 32K, it will be continued in a 2nd message. * You can define a node as an AreaMgr uplink, and specify an uplink Area Manager name. * added Automated Area Managing. This feature is unique to file managers. Passtrough TICK areas containing only one uplink (node with the Receive bit set) is disconnected at the uplink's address by writing a message to that systems' file manager. Additionally, when a node connects to a passtrough area not yet connected, it will be automatically connected at the uplinks address. * You can now define your own notification message text by entering JAMES -List -M=Message * In drivesizes the number of positions 0 will be translated into 10: %DriveSizeC0 will show size of drive C in 10 positions. * Long descriptions (separated over more than one line, connected with a + on first position of next lines will be read and processed as if it was a normal long description. ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ 2.21 ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ Bugs fixed: * -I problem solved. * Reading messages from Hudson message base now works correctly. * Tried to fix the EzyCom message writing problem. ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ 2.22 ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ Bugs fixed: * Search request problem have been solved (run-time error). * TICK cleanup problem has been solved (hopefully). The cleanup routine is completely rewritten from scratch. * Import of EzyCom file areas now works correct (don't forget to set DOS variable EZY to point to FILES.EZY & FILEPATH.EZY) Additions/changes: * RemoteAccess 2.00g file database is now fully supported. * EzyCom file base is now fully supported. * You can now define upto 19 AKA's. * You can now define upto 36 file groups (A-Z and 0-9). * Added a full-screen editor to JAMESCFG, to be invoked via Network->Hatch, or command-line parameter -H. * JAMESCFG now automatically recognizes adds new TICK areas * Added -SCRC command-line option to skip the CRC-checking of TIC files. * Added -SDUP command-line option to skip the updating of the duplicates file. * %6 adds the date of the file in JAMESCFG->Misc->Display Formats. * All message board numbers can now have values upto 65535 * Improved the working of the command-line database. New valid examples: -DEF=3 -DEF=3-5 -DEF=1,5,7-11 * Multiple Carbon Copies are now supported by JAMESCFG. When using JAMES -CC only the first entry is used. New valid examples are: JAMES -CC=3 JAMES -CC=3-5 JAMES -CC=1,5,7-11 * Added remote maintenance to JamesMgr. You can now use %FROM= to change the setup of other nodes. Whether or not a node is allowed to perform remote maintenance can be con- figured in JAMESCFG->Network->Nodes. * Ctrl-End in every editting field deletes the rest of the line from the cursor position. * Removed meta-strings: %FromZone, %FromNet, %FromNode, %FromPoint, %ToZone, %ToNet, %ToNode, %ToPoint. * Added four new meta-strings: %From3DAddress, %From4DAddress, %OriginAddress and %OriginToName.
