Thomas Walker & Marc A. Stuart, co-founders Every network in existence should have a purpose and a general set of guidelines. The Neutral Zone Echo Network (NZENet) is no different in that respect. Please take the time to read it. PURPOSE OF THE NETWORK ====================== Born on September 8, 1993, on the 27th anniversary of the broadcast of the first episode of STAR TREK ("The Man Trap"), NZENet was created to provide a broad forum for fellow Trekkies/Trekkers to get together and chat about life beyond the 22nd Century, and what we may be able to do about life in the 20th Century. NETWORK GUIDELINES ================== 1) This is a PG-13 network, and all members of NZENet are expected to act accordingly. 2) NZENet may not be used for any illegal activities. Anyone found to be engaging in illegal activities will be summarily dismissed from the network. The appropriate authorities may be notified. 3) NZENet, its founders, and/or its users will not be held liable for any problems or damages caused by information given, either expressed or implied. Any information may be used at your own risk. 4) NZENet moderators have ABSOLUTE authority in their respective echos. It is recommended that the NZENet moderators use the "three strikes" method of moderation. A moderator may issue a warning whenever he/she feels it is necessary. Users wishing to challenge the authority of a particular moderator should politely voice their complaints in the Complaint Echo. No reasonable complaint will be ignored, and all decisions will be final. 5) Should a user be "removed" from an area, it is each SysOp's duty to make sure that the removed person can no longer access that area at all. Should a SysOp fail to do this, possible action will be taken against that particular BBS. 6) The co-founders of this network (Marc Stuart and Tom Walker) will act as the "governing body". Final decisions by them are not open for debate. Such decisions will be properly identified. Persons wishing to challenge this policy or those who have complaints and/or suggestions should leave a message to either Tom Walker or Marc Stuart in the Complaint Echo. Users as well as SysOps are invited to contribute their thoughts and ideas. If anyone is interested in starting another echo, contact Tom Walker at anytime with your suggestion. Enjoy the Network!
