PREFACE ------- Shuttle to BBS was originally written for a friend but it seemed to have a potential future ahead. That is why you are reading this document. From now on, Shuttle to BBS will be called StoBBS for short. You must have a FOSSIL driver loaded in order to run StoBBS. StoBBS is DESQview aware, but StoBBS may freeze up under DV if SHARE is not loaded. DISTRIBUTION ------------ We, at SideDoor Software encourage you to distribute StoBBS in its original packaging with its official SideDoor Authentic Verification stamp. All SideDoor Software products have a PKZIP(TM) AV and all our programs are released with PKZIP(TM) 2.04e, up to this version. By NO MEANS may you repackage this software. If you do, you will be subjected to not being able to register this or any of our programs repacked into any other form. We do encourage you to distribute the ORIGINAL .ZIP file. HOW TO SETUP StoBBS: ------------------- StoBBS is very simple to setup. All you have to do is run at the command line: 'StoBBS Setup'. Do note type the " ' " character. It is just shown their for explanatory purposes. As far as the configuration goes, first setup the bbsnames, then the comport. If you are registered you then have to setup the default system to load. Ex BBS Name Screen: 1. PCBoard (R) 14.5a 2. Telegard 2.7 3. WildCat 4. Not Set (MORE TO MENU, BUT NOT SHOWN) etc, etc. Each bbs number, such as 1 = PCBoard (R) 14.5a is the errorlevel that StoBBS will exit with. If the carrier is lost or isn't found it will exit with error level 253. Example follows in next section. HOW TO USE STOBBS: ------------------- Here is an example batch files: :RUNSTOB D: CD\FD RUNFD.BAT C: CD\BBS STOBBS IF ERRORLEVEL 253 goto nocarr rem ERR. LEVEL 253 means that rem carrier was lost or no carrier rem was detected IF ERRORLEVEL 5 goto BBS5 rem The bbs number is the rem errorlevel that stobbs exits rem with. IF ERRORLEVEL 4 goto BBS4 IF ERRORLEVEL 3 goto BBS3 etc.. etc... If you don't understand how to use it, contact one of SideDoor Software Support Sites..
