ÉÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ» º PCBMove º ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ Remote file moving utility for PCBoard 14.5. By Gordon E. Perterson Like all the sysops, I have loads of files uploaded everyday and I don't have time to check all of them and move them to the proper directories... BUT, I have several users who are willing and enjoying testing the new uploads. Once they have done it, they simply move the files to their proper location, saving me a lot of time, and helping to keep the board neatly ordered. USAGE: ÄÄÄÄÄÄ As a door from within PCBoard: ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ The syntax is: ³File_to_be_moved Source_Directory Target_Directory³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ PCBMove will then physically move the file and it's description to the proper locations. Locally "by hand": ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Put the list of the files you want to move in an ASCII file called 2BMOVED using the same format: "File_to_be_moved Source Target". Automatically during an event: ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ To simplify the task of the users moving large amounts of files (during the big "spring cleaning" for example :-) you can ask them not to do the moves "on-line" but simple by writing a message with their offline reader and upload it to you during a mail session. In order to do this, you need to use GETMAIL also included in this archive. This utility will scan a PCBoard message base and exctact into an ASCII file, all the messages addressed to a particular user. In this case, the user could simply be "MOVE". On my board, I use the following syntax to extract the list of moves: GETMAIL C:\PCB\MAIN\MSGS MOVE C:\DOORS\MOVE\2BMOVED and then run MOVBATCH.BAT LEGAL STUFF: ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Theses programs work perfectly fine on my board but if you decide to use them .... don't blame me if something goes wrong :-) Attila Altan ÉÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ» º Li'LL BBS - Paris FRANCE - The Li'LLest of All º ÇÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄĶ º FidoNet, ILink and UseNet conferences º º 1.2 Giga - 2400/9600/14400 Baud USR/HST º ÈÍÍÍ>>>> Call (33-1) 4307.4097 or 2:320/7 <<<<ÍÍͼ
