Setting up Renegade with SZMODEM ================================ Legal Stuff ------------ SZMODEM is (C) by Scott Baker Renegade is (C) by Cott Lang ------------ Hello to you all ! This is only a very small contribution to the Renegade community. I like the idea of Bidirectional transfers. I like SZmodem. To save you a little time, I wrote this little thing in order to ease the installation since it can be difficult. Making SZMODEM process a DORINFO1.DEF could be done the following way: Insert a "blind"-command (means no short & long description, using the same command key you use to switch to the file menu) before the command that goes to the file-menu, and set it up as a "DD" type door (that creates you the DORINFO1.DEF". The "MSTRING" for that command for example can be left blank. FIRST of all, here's the configuration of SZmodem, if you run your BBS with a highspeed modem: If you lock your COM port with BNU or X00 leave the /LOCK %K in the command line. If not you may safely delete this parameter. Telling ALL of your Protocols what the locked rate is makes a difference here in transfer speed. Not All Protocols support the passing of the locked rate as well as the modem to modem speed but many do. SZMODEM Configuration: 1. Default Com parameters........ COM1:19200,N,8,1 3. For single transfers you should edit your prots like this... !. Type/protocl:Active - Single protocol 1. Keys/descrip:"Z" / "Super(Z)Modem" 2. ACS required: "s50" 3. Temp. log : *None* 4.
