TELEGARD SECURITY SYSTEM v1.7 ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~ Copyright 1992, Scott Raymond. All Rights Reserved Revision History ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ Release # Description ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ 1.0 Initial release of TGSEC. Quick and dirty, meant to halt the rash of hacked systems plaguing the Telegard community. 1.1 Upgrade release. Added SECURITY.DIR feature to prevent lockup of the system through the uploading of illegal file names. 1.2 Upgrade release. Added new file names to SECURITY.DIR, fixed 4DOS alias environment size. Also added alternate method of protection for people who use LOGON.BAT and LOGOFF.BAT. Added new aliases to the ALIASES text file. 1.3 Upgrade release. New file names added to SECURITY.DIR, 4DOS configuration completely revamped. Aliasing revamped and streamlined - no need to turn it on and off. 1.4 Corrected a mistake concerning the 4DOS setup - A COMSPEC line was needed in AUTOEXEC.BAT. 1.5 Complete revamping for Telegard version 2.7. 4DOS's aliasing ability is no longer needed, as the features it provided are now replaced by internal features of Telegard. 1.6 There was no version 1.6 upgrade. Aome wise-ass decided it would be funny to try to distribute the Dark Avenger virus under the guise of an upgrade. Needless to say I think the damage has been minimalized. 1.7 No upgrade yet, except for a fresh copy of my SECURITY.DIR. I have also started using PKZIP's Authenticity Verification envelope, which cannot be duplicated by MAKEAV.
