Welcome to MSI SupportNET. You can begin picking up any or all of the four conferences available using your BBS name, which has been added to our user list. We have established your BBS name with EXPERT MODE ON and HOT KEYS ON. If your pickup method requires any changes to this, you must make them manually. The new ! fast login command is activated for your BBS login name and is used in the Qmodem script available for download. These conferences can be made available on your BBS for general reading, and do NOT need to be restricted to sysops or MSI customers. If you allow others to pick-up the conferences from you, please instruct them on the proper origin line to use. Remember, you are responsible for all messages originating from your users, and any nodes echoing these conferences from you. We strongly recommend that you view your TNET.LOG, TNET.ERR and ERROR.LOG files daily, so that message database errors or other errors causing you to re-export and upload duplicate messages can be detected and corrected by you BEFORE they become a problem that is brought to your attention by network hosts. Remember, duplicate and re-exported messages will cause your node's BBS access here to be lowered until the problem is corrected! A convenient way to view these files is to use Dave Cody's PostMaster program to import these log files as messages to the sysop. Be sure to configure MAKEWILD to allow private messages in these conferences so that private administrative messages can be sent. To avoid burdening other sysops with excess mail, please post messages that are not MSI product support q&a's in the OFF TOPIC conference or make them private. This includes chitchat, administrative messages, echo tests, or inquiries about the operation or policies of the network itself. Proper origin tags and real names are a MUST in this echo. To prevent missing network origin tags, you must go into TCMAINT Network Security section, and ensure that NO security profiles have 'Netsysop' status toggled on, unless the security profile is specifically for BBSs calling YOU to echo conferences. Ordinary callers, including yourself, must have Netsysop status turned OFF. Mail reader taglines in this conference should NOT make references to the merits or deficiencies of any particular BBS system or company. Keep it general. Please let us know if you have any questions. Following is a sample MUSTANG.CFG file for TNET users, showing conference numbers and sample settings. Please note the correct format for origin lines, and private mail support. ---cut here---------- ;This is a sample MUSTANG.CFG file for use by systems echoing the three ;MSI support conferences for WILDCAT!, QMODEM and OFF-LINE XPRESS/SLMR. ;This file requires editing before use.
